Hiragana and katakana are the two Japanese syllable scripts, and each has 46 basic characters. A clear kana chart is the quickest way to see how the characters are organised: five vowels across, and a consonant sound down each row.
The hiragana chart and the katakana chart each include a writing practice sheet with tracing guides. The combined chart puts both scripts in one box per sound, which makes it easier to compare them. Romaji follows the standard Hepburn style, so し is shi and を is wo.
These charts are free to print and share for personal and classroom use.
